Bon Voyage!
At least that's what I should have posted before I left. But now I'm here so I'll play catch up.
First off, let me say that "sleeping" in coach class truly does suck. I think I only dozed about 2 hours worth on the way here. So when I arrived I checked in (thankfully a room was ready at 8am) and tried to stay awake by walking around a bit to get my bearings.
After a street vendor slice of pizza, I crashed hard in my room, sleeping for about 4 hours. Then I tried to get active again and walked up and down the beach. For a French beach, let me say that there's not enough topless chicks and way too many dudes in speedos.
I found a geocache, had dinner, and crashed again. I am still adjusting to the time and woke up around 4am. Now I'm prepping for my first day of work after a Nice breakfast.

I'm going to take a Nice trip!
Welp, it looks like I'm France-bound for work! I have to go to a conference in Nice, France on Monday. Of course, I don't arrive until Tuesday morning, so that day will be mostly a bust as I get used to the jet lag. But starting Wednesday I shoot video on site for 3 days. And since it was cheaper for me to fly home on a Monday, I get to stay the weekend! So I'll be hitting up the Cannes film festival, Monaco, and the tip of Italy. More on this story as it develops....

Indian Independence Day
My trip is over. I am back in Delhi from Bangalore on a long 9 hour layover. I'll grouse later. In fact, I have much to catch you up on. But for now, I'll leave you with two things: today is Indian Independence Day, and I finally completed my three tasks on this trip: bring back Manila envelopes, have a Singapore Sling in Singapore, and have a Delhi sandwich.

Underwhere?
I read a handy piece of advice a while back on a forum I frequent and I'm using it on this trip.
I donate my old clothes and had a garbage bag full of stuff in my closet. Prior to this trip I pulled out all the underwear I was going to donate, washed them, and brought them to wear on the trip. Except, instead of washing them along the way, I'm just throwing them out.
It cuts down on your laundry a bit, and creates some room in your luggage on the way home. It's a great idea, I just hope some housemaid doesn't get pregnant. You can get pregnant by wearing the same underwear, right?

A Little Bit of Home
Which traveling, I've been "tuning" into my home town radio station over the Internet. They have a streaming player online. It's so nice to listen to the same 12 songs over and over again. It's kind of like being at home, while at the same time being the exact opposite of being at home.
